Haven AI is built with privacy at its core. All AI processing happens on your device. Your voice recordings, notes, and personal data never leave your phone.
Overview
Haven AI ("Haven," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Haven AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
We believe your notes, recordings, and thoughts are deeply personal. That's why Haven is designed to process everything locally on your device.
Information We Collect
Data stored on your device only:
- Voice recordings you create within the App
- Transcriptions generated from your recordings
- Notes, tasks, and reminders you create
- Folders, tags, and organizational preferences
- Calendar entries and scheduling data
- AI-generated summaries and extracted content
This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.
Data we may collect:
- Anonymous usage analytics (if you opt in) to help us improve the App
- Crash reports and performance data to identify and fix bugs
- Your email address, only if you contact us for support
On-Device AI Processing
Haven AI uses on-device machine learning models for:
- Speech-to-text transcription
- Note summarization and key point extraction
- Task and reminder extraction from voice notes
- Smart folder and tag suggestions
- Conversational AI chat about your notes
All AI processing occurs entirely on your device. No audio, text, or personal content is sent to external servers for processing. The AI models run locally using your device's hardware.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on your device using the operating system's built-in encryption and security features. We do not maintain servers that store your personal content.
If you choose to use iCloud backup, your Haven data may be included in your device backup according to Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices.
Third-Party Services
Haven AI does not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to third parties. We do not use third-party analytics services that track individual users.
The App may use the following services:
- Apple's Speech Framework — for supplementary speech recognition (processed on-device)
- RevenueCat — for subscription management (processes only purchase receipts, not personal content)
Data Retention
Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. When you delete a note, recording, or any content within the App, it is permanently removed from your device.
Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Access — All your data is visible and accessible within the App
- Deletion — Delete any note, recording, or task at any time
- Portability — Export your notes and recordings from the App
- Opt out — Disable optional analytics at any time in Settings
Children's Privacy
Haven AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
